Content

I love the person I am today.

I know what my morals, beliefs,
 positive & negative qualities,
and goals are.

And tomorrow that may change.

But at the same time i know that,
with every negative thing that may happen,
there is a great lesson to be learned.

And the lessons Ive learned in the past,
will help me make better decisions in the future.

and because of that ... I am content for today

Respect

In the practice of tolerance, one's enemy is the best teacher.
-Dalai Lama

When i am meeting people one of the first qualities i look for, is that of respect.
Over the past few weeks we have had a house guest,
and respect was not one of his finest qualities.
But i learned a lot of things,
I learned when to over look things,
when to voice my opinion,
and when to take his words to heart.
The most important things that we have in our lives,
are our morals and our difference of opinion.
I think everyone could have a bit more respect and tolerance towards people.
Everyone needs to have the opportunity to exercises the use of their values and
how they handle situations that are out of their control.
These past few weeks have defiantly allowed me to do just that!

Lessons Learned

"Looking forward because there's nothing I can do to change the past. Time to accept it, move forward and make amends. Life is to short to be worrying about what might of been, because the what ifs of life don't guarantee happiness.."

-Savanna Marie

No matter how much i would like to go back in time and change some of the decisions i have made and i have came along way when it comes to acceptance.

I have learned that everything happens for a reason. The decisions that you have made in the past do not define the person you are today. What you decide to do with the mistake is what truly defines you.

You have two types of decisions to choose between when you realize that you have done something wrong. You can either A. feel sorry for yourself and do nothing to change it, you can let that one mistake ruin your day, you can use it as an excuse when you make other mistakes, you can flip the script and try to make this mistake someone else's fault. Or, B. you can learn from it, you can take the lesson that you learned from the situation and figure out a solution to make sure that it doesn't happen again.

I don't believe that the decisions you have made in life define you as a person. Everyone makes mistakes and uses bad judgment at times in there life time.

I believe that what you choose to learn and take from the experience is what truly defines you as a person.
